Brian Peterson is a Miami-based muralist and visual artist celebrated for his sweeping, geometric street murals that breathe life into public spaces. Drawing from his background as an award-winning automotive designer, Peterson employs vibrant colors and simplified forms to distill the human spirit into minimalistic, yet powerful imagery. His portfolio includes major collaborations with the Kobe Bryant Family, the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation, the Los Angeles Rams, and the Los Angeles Lakers. His large-scale works can also be seen throughout Southern California and beyond—from Los Angeles landmarks like Ovation Hollywood to university campuses such as California State University, Fullerton. In Downtown Long Beach, he is currently creating what’s billed as the tallest mural in the city, rising above streets and capturing attention for its visibility and scale.
While the monumental murals remain at the heart of his work, Peterson also nurtures a deeply humanitarian side. He founded a portrait initiative—Faces of Santa Ana, subsequently expanding into Faces of Mankind—that centers on painting residents experiencing homelessness. These intimate portraits, rendered in the same vibrant style, are sold to benefit the subjects, fostering dignity, connection, and support. Still based in Miami, Peterson continues to split his creative energy between his home base and his prolific mural work in Southern California, bringing both visual drama and human-centered storytelling to city walls coast to coast.
